PRESS RELEASE

Kate Nicholas. 11th Feb, 2022 • Mar 15, 2022

Kate Nicholas takes us on a journey to discover and share our soul story in her new book Soul’s Scribe publishing this February.

Be empowered to share your soul story with others.

Each of us has a soul story to tell – the unique story of how we experience God throughout our lives. In Soul’s Scribe , Kate Nicholas expertly takes you on a journey through the various stages of your life, helping you to see your soul’s story as an adventure full of meaning and purpose, connecting your tale with the great sweeping arc of God’s eternal narrative. As you identify the main themes of your life that connect past and present, you will be able to understand your life as a coherent whole. And at the end of this reflective and practical process, you will have the tools to step out and tell your own story with confidence, and point others to Jesus as you are empowered to share the good things God has done for you.

‘Soul-deep wisdom inside us tells us that our story is connected in a profound way with God’s eternal narrative.’

As an author, broadcaster and preacher, Kate feels called to help people to see that our reality is far more mysterious and exciting than we can ever imagine; encouraging them to recognise that behind the often hum drum events of our lives, lies a different and more profound ‘soul story’ about that part of us that connects us to God. Her eyes were opened to that reality by a cancer diagnosis. ‘As I hovered on the border between life and death, I was able to recognise how God had been with me right the way back to my earliest childhood and I captured this experience - my soul story - in my memoir Sea Changed which has gone on to inspire many.’ While speaking to a church group about her own story, one woman noted that we only really look back over our lives when we realise that time is short. ‘ She left quite an impression on me. I realised that before cancer brought me to a standstill, I like many, had lived most of my life on autopilot. It is really hard to step back and to take the take the time to reflect on the lessons of our own lives while we are busy living.’ This planted the seed of Soul’s Scribe.

Using scripture, developmental psychology and personal experience , Kate takes you on a fascinating journey through the various stages of your life to see how God has been at work. You may not think your life story is particularly interesting or important, but Kate reveals how each of us has a ‘soul story’, the tale of our inner walk with God which he calls us to share, and she provides you with the kind of tools used by professional communicators to help you to tell your soul story in a way that will inspire and encourage others.

Kate hopes that Soul’s Scribe will ‘ engender a sense of wonder and gratitude at God’s loving care for each of us, and a desire to encourage others by sharing the story of our soul’s journey.’ Soul’s Scribe helps readers connect their own story with God’s narrative and helps them communicate that experience in a way that will encourage and inspire others.

Kate Nicholas is an author, broadcaster, and speaker with more than thirty years’ experience in national journalism and global communications. She now runs a management and communications consultancy and preaches at the Amazing Grace church of St Peter and St Paul in Olney, Bucks.
