DON’T RELY ON A DIET OF PRAYER AND CARROTS; VACCINES ARE A GIFT FROM GOD

Kate and her teenage daughter's impassioned plea to young people to take up the vaccine now being offered to 16 and 17 year olds.

I don't usually use my blog to link to guest spots that I do for different magazines and websites, but I really wanted to let you know about this joint blog that I have just written with my 17 year old for Premier's Woman Alive on an issue of critical importance to young people and the rest of society in these uncertain times.

Following the news that all 16- to 17-year-olds are to be offered a COVID vaccine, my daughter Emily has written an impassioned plea for other young people to take up the vaccine, while I have reflected on how much her willingness to overcome her nerves about needles to get the jab has meant to me and looked at some of the factors that may prevent other young people from taking up the vaccines themselves.
