City in the Clouds: Images from Bogota, Colombia

A selection of images from my recent trip to Bogota, Colombia with World Vision. I was blessed to be in the city for meetings at a historic moment in the country's history, as the Colombian President Juan Manuel Santas brokered a new peace deal bringing to end more than sixty years of conflict between the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) guerrilla group. During our meetings we were privileged to hear from the Rev Hector Pardo, an amazing man of God who as a teenager was involved with the guerrilla group but, after an encounter with Christ, went on to minister to the militants and became a driving force behind the healing of the nation. To quote from the Colombian national anthem, "The horrible night has ceased.".
